After reading Every Amazing Song, students participated in a fun and interactive movement activity using dance card flashcards. Each card featured a picture and a movement, such as hopping, skipping, stomping, waving, or dancing. As the teacher held up each card, students identified the movement and acted it out together. Students were encouraged to move their bodies creatively, follow directions, and dance to the rhythm of the music. This activity brought the story to life while promoting listening skills, gross motor development, coordination, and creative expression. It also gave students an opportunity to build confidence and enjoy movement with their classmates!

🎶 Every child has an amazing song to share! 🎶

Ms. Cook’s Pre-K students celebrated Georgia Pre-K Week with Every Amazing Song by Coy Bowles and Malcolm Mitchell! After enjoying the story, students got moving with a Follow-the-Leader Parade, creating and copying rhythm patterns while marching, clapping, shaking, and drumming to the beat. 🥁🎵

What a fun way to build listening skills, rhythm, movement, memory, and teamwork—all while making a little joyful noise! ❤️💙

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Naomi Campos’ Tío Christian joined her class as a special guest reader! He shared a wonderful bilingual story in both English and Spanish, giving our students a fun opportunity to celebrate language, culture, and the joy of reading together. 🇲🇽📖✨

🌮📚 Taco ’bout a fun day in first grade! 🌮📚

Mrs. Stone, Mrs. Spradlin & Mrs. Frey’s first graders celebrated National Taco Day with a tasty twist on learning! After reading Dragons Love Tacos, students sampled different taco toppings, graphed their most YUCKY choices 🤢, and then designed their own perfect tacos using their favorite toppings!

Books + math + creativity + tacos = one delicious day of learning! 🌮🐉❤️
