🍎✨Second Chance Breakfast!✨🍎

This morning, these students had the opportunity to grab a snack during their first recess through our Second Chance Breakfast program!

This program gives students who may have missed morning breakfast another opportunity to fuel up, refocus, and have a great day at school.

We’re excited to be bringing Second Chance Breakfast to all of our elementary schools soon, because every student deserves a second chance to start their day strong! 🍎💙🎉💪

Our Cabinet members, Directors, and Board of Education members visited schools across the district this morning to welcome back our students and staff and kick off the 2026–2027 school year! From warm welcomes to plenty of smiles, it was a wonderful way to start the year.

Congratulations to two outstanding Val Verde students who were recognized at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting for their achievements in the 2026 City of Perris Mayor’s Art Contest! 👏

🥇Leanna Montoya, a 7th grade student at Tomas Rivera Middle School, earned 1st Place in the Youth Submission category.

🥉Marcelino Sosa, a Transitional Kindergarten student at Val Verde Elementary School, earned 3rd Place in the Youth Submission category.

We are incredibly proud of both students for representing Val Verde with their talent, creativity, and hard work! 💙

Please log in to your Aeries Parent Portal and complete your student’s Data Confirmation as soon as possible. Keeping your information current helps us prepare for a smooth start to the new school year.

A day filled with resources, wellness, learning, and fun! 💙

Families joined us at the VVUSD Health Fair for an amazing opportunity to connect with programs and services designed to support student success and overall well-being. Attendees explored after school programs, nutrition services, family resources including Medi-Cal and CalFresh, mobile medical and dental units, vision screenings, free school supplies and toys, and so much more!

Thank you to our dedicated staff, community partners, and vendors for bringing together a day where families could access important resources, receive valuable screenings, gain knowledge, and enjoy activities all in one place.

Together, we continue to strengthen and support our VVUSD community! 💙
