Val Verde Teachers Association campaign signs supporting our endorsed school board candidates Daniel Aquino and Erika Zamora have been disappearing throughout the community.

Approximately 250 signs have been removed from locations where they were placed. Signs nearby have remained untouched, and other campaign signs have appeared in some of those areas (how convenient).

A police report has been filed, and replacement signs are going back up.

With three weeks until Election Day, please keep an eye out for VVTA campaign signs.

We also still have signs available for members who would like one for their car.

Weingarten Rights can protect union members during meetings that could lead to discipline, but you need to know when and how to use them.

Your Site Rep isn’t just there to watch. They’re there to support you, advise you, ask questions, and help protect your rights.

VVTA members Ms. Bootsma and Ms. Singh were SEEN WEARING GREEN at the District Office yesterday!

They were there for literacy training, supporting students in different roles, but repping the same gear.

Different roles. Different work. One Union.

VVTA members spent the weekend at the CTA San G Leadership and Special Education Conferences learning strategies for the classroom & how to build a stronger union.

Great information. Great strategies. And now comes the important part: bringing what we learned back to our members.

Then you realize January is only a few months away, which means Christmas is coming, 2026 is almost over, and those New Year’s resolutions you made approximately 47 years ago are about to come due…
