🍊🥕 Fresh fruits, veggies, and recess fun at Columbia Elementary!

This week, Columbia kicked off its Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP)! 🎉 Through grant funding, students get to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables during recess while being introduced to a variety of healthy foods throughout the school year.

We’re excited to make trying fresh produce a fun part of the school day! 🍎🥒🍓🥦

There's still time to pick up a FREE 5-day meal box for children and teens 18 years and younger! Don't miss your chance—meal box distribution ends Friday, July 31.

Distribution Schedule: Wednesday 🕗 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

VVUSD Nutrition Services had a wonderful time at the Val Verde Community Health Fair! Families enjoyed tasting different varieties of plums, sampling delicious baked goods made by our Central Kitchen, and powering their own smoothies on our popular Smoothie Bike.
