Yesterday was Labor Day. Yesterday’s Labor Day WOD was a tribute not only to the achievements and sacrifices of American workers, but also to the heroes who gave everything in service to others.

We honored the Hotshot 19, the Granite Mountain Hotshots firefighters who lost their lives in the Yarnell Hill Fire of 2013. Their bravery and sacrifice continue to inspire the CrossFit community and remind us why we push through hard workouts: to honor those who can’t. YES today it hurt to sit, but we don’t do anything with half effort. 1% better.

Hotshots 19:

Six rounds for time: but we committed to 8 rounds because that’s how our coach trained us. Thank you Tara and Denise for the support, these are my gym people.

• 30 Air Squats- ours were with a weighed 45 lb bag
• 19 Power Cleans (135/95 lb) ours were with 35 lb DB snatches
• 7 Strict Pull-Ups- I did assisted
• 400-meter Run

Happy Heavenly Father’s Day to you dad. You were Faithful, you were a Fisherman, you were always fixing stuff and one of the hardest working men I know. You were who I called when I did something crazy or conquered another adventure. We love and miss you.

Rain or Shine — RMA Inland Empire’s First Golf Tournament Was a Hit!

Our inaugural RMA Inland Empire Golf Tournament teed off with a packed course, soaking wet fairways, and unbeatable energy. Despite the rain, the turnout was incredible — drenched and dripping, it was still all smiles across every hole.

What made the day even more special? Running into my cousin and reconnecting with longtime friends. The spirit of community was undeniable, even among competitors sharing the same golf cart — we kept it professional, friendly, and fun.

Even more impactful was the cause we supported. Funds raised from the tournament went to The Unforgettables Foundation, a remarkable organization that helps families with funeral costs and emotional support during the unthinkable loss of a child. Knowing we were making a difference made each swing that much more meaningful.

From soggy swings to laughter in the clubhouse, this tournament reminded us that weather doesn’t dampen a strong network or a great cause.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out. Until next year — let’s keep building and growing the IE community!

Here’s a draft for your post:

“If you build it, they will come.”

This famous quote reminds me of the power of creating something meaningful and watching it come to life—whether it’s a field of dreams or a team of Spartans.

Kicking off the year with our first Spartan race as a team was incredible. We stayed together, pushed each other through every obstacle, and celebrated every victory, big or small. The bond we built along the way is the foundation for what lies ahead.

This year, we’re not stopping at just one race—we’re working towards completing a Spartan Trifecta together. We made a promise to see this through as a team, and true to that promise, everyone showed up.

Building a team means creating a vision, setting goals, and trusting that the right people will rally around you. Here’s to the obstacles ahead and the unwavering support of a team determined to cross every finish line together!

How does that sound? Would you like to adjust the tone or add anything else?

It’s not where you start—it’s where you finish.

I closed out my final race of the season at HYROX Anaheim, and what a journey it’s been! This season taught me the importance of running my own race, staying focused, and embracing the process. Through lessons learned, our team coaches Agogie and Carmen, the wonderful women athletes & gym community we grind with weekly and small tweaks to my approach, I managed to shave 6 minutes off my last time—proof that consistent effort pays off.

HYROX threw in a curveball by adding 25 additional wall balls to the final station, but it only reinforced the value of adapting and pushing through challenges.

As I reflect on this race and the season as a whole, I’m reminded that progress is personal, and success is about finishing stronger than you started. Here’s to growth, grit, and setting the bar higher for next year!

Small businesses are the heart of our community. They bring creativity, connection, and a personal touch to everything they do. On Small Business Saturday, we celebrate these local entrepreneurs who pour their passion into building something meaningful.

This year, I had the joy of supporting a small business, AR Workshop Temecula, by participating in a blanket-making class as a special birthday gift for my sister. It was a fun and memorable experience, surrounded by warmth, laughter, and the incredible talent of a small local business.

Supporting small businesses doesn’t just uplift our community—it’s an investment in dreams. Many of the big-name brands we know today started small, just like AR Workshop.

Let’s continue to shop small and support the businesses that make our neighborhoods unique. A huge thank you to AR Workshop Temecula and our instructors mom and Maddie mother daughter duo for helping us create not only blankets but also lasting memories! Best instructors we can’t wait to come back and do more classes.
