Help needed…

A former family in the FCNS community had a severe house fire today (6/1) and lost everything. Thank goodness they are all safe.

Let’s pull the FCNS community together to support and help the family during this time. To begin with we are looking for clothes in the following sizes: 12/14 (girls), 10/12 (girls), medium/size 8 (boys)…for the children.

Please private message me if you can help.

I will follow up with more ways to help as soon as I can. I know a GoFundMe is being set up and I will share the link as soon as it’s ready.

Today was the official last day of the 2023-2024 school year and last day ever for FCNS. We ended our year with a picnic at Hickory Park Playground which is something we do every year. The parents surprised Mrs.Rodgers and I with a little party and a loving tribute. They planted a tree in our honor with a special plaque near the playground and had little paper hearts hanging from the branches with message from our students. It was a touching moment and we will forever be grateful. Miss Jill was also presented with a special garden stone since she was the Playgroup Teacher to some of these students. As they were dedicating the tree to us raindrops began to fall then the sky opened up for a few minutes. Mrs. Rodger’s husband said it best when he said the raindrops were God’s tears because we were closing and the hard rain was to water our tree. I completely agree with him! It was an honor and pleasure to teach all the students who have come through those doors. We have created a special bond that can never be broken.

A perfect ending to a fantastic night! Congratulations FCNS Class of 2024! The last graduating class of FCNS! We honored 8 graduating seniors that attended FCNS.

Name pancakes! This is such a fun day! They get to use cookie cutters to spell their name with pancakes then add butter, syrup, chocolate chips, and/or whipped cream!

Thank you Aunt Kim for being our Mystery Reader! We loved hearing about your job as a nurse as seeing all the different tools you use. It was fun listening to our own heartbeats too!
