For the second year in a row, Pennridge and the Perkasie Police Department teamed up to make six students at Guth Elementary, a Police Chief for the Day.
In the month of February, teachers and staff who witnessed or heard of a student doing a good deed at school, at home, or out in the community received a nomination for the Chief For A Day raffle. At the end of the month, one student was chosen from each grade to represent their grade as the Chief For A Day. In addition, each homeroom selected two of the nominees for posts as Sergeant For A Day, where they would receive ID badges and be present for the pizza lunch, including chiefs, sergeants, and officers engaging in conversation and increasing an already wonderful relationship with our local police officers.

Now this is the way to welcome the "Chiefs for a Day" when they return to Guth after being sworn in at Perkasie Borough Hall by the Mayor!
There was a Police es**rt and a hero's welcome as all students and staff members cheered and greeted them back to the school! The epitome of what looks like!
The "Sock Roll" is a service project traditionally done on or around Martin Luther King Day to honor King’s legacy and his belief in the importance of service to others.

The Giving Tree Organization provides basic supplies (ribbons, gift tags, and rubber bands) and distributes the socks to the homeless at the completion of the Sock Roll. Buildings throughout the district collected socks, and our generous Guth families and Giant Food Stores provided granola bars and packages of crackers.

Guth Student Council and all of the 5th Graders assembled 1,000 Sock Rolls. Each pair of socks is rolled around a package of crackers and a package of granola bars and tied with a gift tag and ribbon. This was Guth’s first year participating in the Sock Roll. We would like to thank our friends at North Middle School for sharing this opportunity with us. We look forward to participating in more service projects in the future!

- Thanks to Keri Phelan, Jaclyn McCollum, Susan Gable, and Stacey Verespy, along with Matt Smith, for their help capturing these facts and pictures for us too.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we head into the holiday break, I am sharing a few reflections. This fall has been a memorable one for Pennridge. Across our schools, we launched new initiatives, strengthened programs, and continued to build momentum. In many conversations throughout the community, I have heard a consistent theme: the Pennridge spirit feels alive. That energy exists because of our students, our dedicated staff, and the partnership we share with families. We asked our staff to think about some of their stories from this past fall that exemplify who we are and what we value. But, we also wanted them to share some of their best moments of preparation, belonging, innovation, gratitude, and coming together as a community, too. Please feel free to enjoy these stories in our latest newsletter, over the break. https://app.smore.com/n/wqrc3

The holidays always prompt reflection, and as I get older, the stark reminder of time’s finite nature resonates more deeply. When I was younger, days felt endless; now, seasons seem to pass more quickly. That realization underscores the importance of this work and the extent to which we invest ourselves in it. The lessons your children learn, the challenges they work through, and the relationships they build each day matter. Schools are complex systems, but at their core, they rely on people, educators, staff, and families, working together to ensure they function with purpose and heart.
As winter break begins, I hope your family can slow down, reconnect, and enjoy time together. Whether that time is filled with activity or quiet moments, it offers rest, reflection, and renewal. Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. I am proud of the progress we have made together and optimistic about what lies ahead in 2026. From my home to yours, I wish you a warm, peaceful, and restorative holiday season.
I look forward to welcoming students back in the new year, ready to continue the important work ahead.

All good wishes,
Angelo

The Pennridge Pulse- Fall 2025

"BE KIND!" That was the main theme this morning as we headed up to the roof at Guth to capture all the students showing off their kaleidoscope of colors. It was all in celebration of World Kindness Day and a reminder to be kind to everyone- every day. THIS IS PENNRIDGE!

Today, on Veterans Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country with courage, dedication, and sacrifice.

At the Pennridge School District, we are especially proud to recognize the veterans within our own school community, the incredible staff members who once wore our nation’s uniforms and now serve our students with that same sense of duty and commitment.

The photos below highlight several of our current Pennridge employees who have served in the Armed Forces. We thank each of them, and all veterans, for protecting our freedoms and for continuing to inspire our students, staff, and community every day.

Thank you, Veterans, for your service and your sacrifice. 🇺🇸

WE DID IT AGAIN! Once again, the Pennsylvania Art Education Association (PAEA) has honored the Pennridge School District as an Outstanding Visual Arts Community for 2024–25.
This recognition celebrates our district’s commitment to cultivating and sustaining a strong, high-quality visual arts program for our students. A thriving arts program does more than teach creative skills—it builds critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration while empowering students to express their unique voices. These are the very qualities that prepare young people for success in school, in their careers, and as engaged members of their communities.

To celebrate this achievement, we invited K-12 Art Teachers to join us and be recognized at the School Board meeting, to be celebrated for their commitment to visual arts education opportunities for all students, K-12. We also want to showcase what they help create in our schools!
Art Teachers were asked to do something very hard- choose a few pieces from all of the amazing work in their classes and submit them to us so they could be part of our first-ever “Student-Art” Celebration Showcase. These 16x20 frames, and several more, are filled with exceptional artwork created by our students in all 11 schools and will be hung in the lobby of the District Office as well as the Boardroom so they can be seen and celebrated by our staff and community. This will be an annual showcase!

Wow These kids are so fast! We could barely keep up with both their enthusiasm and their speed! :)
We stopped by the annual Race for Education at Guth and loved capturing the smiles and fun in the crowd of parents, friends, and grandparents cheering on the kiddos- as well as the invaluable parent volunteers and of course of incredible professional staff doing what they do best----supporting and celebrating our students!

They're just about ready to mount! We're super-excited for our new PSD Art display! Last year we had our K-12 Art Coordinator reach out to all Art Teachers and choose some of the best works from all schools-- then, we made these composites from what we received! These beautiful 16x20 wooden framed works will soon be hung in our District Administration Office for everyone to see. We will keep these works on display for the next two years and then do it all again!

This bi-annual Art Collection is just another way that we have found to use every opportunity to celebrate our students, staff, and programs in our incredible schools!

We're SUPER EXCITED to unveil this new Pennridge tradition celebrating the work of our Art students all year long! Together with Art Teachers from across all schools and all grade levels, we asked them to choose a variety of our students' work. These designs showcasing the art, the student's name, and school will now be created as high-resolution photo prints, framed in 16x20 frames, and displayed in our District Administration Board Room and Reception area!

We love celebrating our artists all year long, and now their work will be on display as part of our rotating display, too!
