💙 …And we're back, Blue Devils! 💙 What a great morning at Peotone High School! The halls were buzzing with chatter, smiles were everywhere, and our Blue Devils came back ready to kick off an amazing new school year!

🎶 Mr. Boudreau had the tunes going bright and early, while our Student Council Welcome Crew brought the energy and helped make the morning extra special!

A big thank-you to our Student Ambassadors and staff who jumped in to help students with schedules and make sure everyone was ready to start the year off right.

The first day of school for students in Grades 1–12 is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25! We are excited to welcome our students back for the 2026–2027 school year.

Tuesday, August 25 – Common Plan Dismissal

Tuesday will be a Common Plan Dismissal day. Approximate dismissal times are:

PES: 1:25 p.m.
PJHS: 1:35 p.m.
PHS: 1:25 p.m.

Beginning Wednesday, August 26 – Full School Day

Beginning Wednesday, all buildings will follow their regular full-day schedule. Approximate dismissal times are:

PES: 3:00 p.m.
PJHS: 3:08 p.m.
PHS: 2:57 p.m.

Please remember that buses may run later than usual during the first few days of school as students and drivers become familiar with routes and schedules. All students in Grades K–2 are required to have a parent/guardian present at the bus stop.

Kindergarten Meet & Greet

Meet & Greets are by appointment only on Tuesday, August 25, and Wednesday, August 26.

The PHS Student Council is excited to partner with the American Red Cross for our Fall Blood Drive on Wednesday, September 16, from 1:30–6:00 PM in the PHS Media Center!

We hope you’ll consider taking some time out of your day to donate blood and help make a difference in the lives of others. Every donation has the potential to save lives, and we’d love to see our Blue Devil community come together to support this important cause! ❤️

🎀 And there’s a fun bonus! All donors will receive an exclusive collectible Hello Kitty + Red Cross item while supplies last! 🐱🩸 So come roll up your sleeve, donate, and grab some adorable swag while you can!

💙 PHS Students: Any student who donates will be eligible to receive 3 community service hours for taking the time to donate blood and give back to their community. After donating, please see Mr. Robinson to receive a completed verification form.

The countdown is almost over! The first day of school is tomorrow, August 25! 🎉

Mr. Boudreau, Mrs. Jakubek, Mr. Strough, and the entire PHS staff are excited to welcome our students back and kick off another great school year!

As a reminder, tomorrow is a Common Plan dismissal. Peotone High School will dismiss at 1:25 PM.

Transportation Route Update 8/20/26

Transportation has sent route information to families via email.

We still have a number of email addresses that are not updating correctly in our transportation software. If you did not receive your child’s route information, please contact your child’s main office. Building secretaries will be happy to provide you with the information.

If you receive route information for one student in your household, the information is accurate for all students in the household, unless a student has specialized transportation through Special Education.

Transportation routes have been finalized; however, we are currently experiencing an issue with the route information transferring between our transportation software and PowerSchool.

Our technology and transportation teams are working closely with the software company to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We will share transportation information with families as soon as the issue is resolved.

As we mark 25 years since September 11, 2001, we remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who answered the call, and recognize the first responders who continue to serve our communities each and every day.
