We had a great time fellowshipping with families at our final parent night this year! Please pray for our staff & students to finish strong as we’re down to our final 4 weeks!

Mrs. Schrock facilitated a fun learning experience for her students that lead to a delicious payoff! First, students surveyed other classes and staff about their dessert preferences. They used that data to design cupcakes that represented SSCA. Each student wrote a persuasive letter to the rest of the student body to generate votes for their cupcakes. Today, the 5th graders baked the winning cupcake with Ms. Fallon, our kitchen manager!

Our 5th graders recently held a mock trial. Students studied historical documents and read up on the controversy surrounding Christopher Columbus & his voyages to the Americas. Columbus was put on trial while the prosecution & defense both brought strong points to the table, based on research.
