Knotting Memories: Photo-Embroidery is this Friday, and spots are limited!

Join visiting artist Annie Jénifer Gómez Vargas for this 4-hour workshop where you’ll learn embroidery on paper and transform a personal photograph into a textile reflection on memory and identity.

No experience needed, just bring a photo you’re willing to stitch into. Everything else is provided.

Annie Jénifer Gómez Vargas has spent her work as an artist and educator exploring that question through thread. She creates space where people use embroidery not just as a craft, but as a way to process memories.

On June 26, Annie will bring that practice to downtown Peoria for Knotting Memories: Photo-Embroidery. You’ll bring a photo that means something to you, and by the end of the afternoon, you’ll have stitched something new into it. It’s a quiet, meditative experience for all skill levels.

Annie travels from Colombia, and these workshops are personally designed by her and the collective Entre Hilos and Fundación Casa Tramas. Space is limited to 15 people so save your spot today!
