Ruben Rapalo from Paseo Verde Elementary School is a hard-working, dedicated, positive man. He goes above and beyond every day to do what is best for students and to help all staff in any way he can.
Today, on day two, Peoria Unified is excited to continue our virtual 2021 Peoria Arts and Cultural Festival by showcasing the creativity that is inspired by our Educators and their students from Centennial High School along with Educators and students from its feeder schools of Desert Harbor Elementary, Ira A. Murphy Elementary, Oasis Elementary School, and Paseo Verde Elementary School!
Congratulations to two Paseo Verde Elementary School teams who placed in the Arizona Odyssey of the Mind State competition! The students competed virtually against teams from all over the state of Arizona by preparing skits, props, sets and costumes over several months. The 6th/7th-grade team placed fourth in their building competition, and the 8th-grade team placed third in their cliffhanger skit. Way to go Paseo Verde!

We went to pick up a laptop today at the scheduled time and was told there were no more laptops available. I was also told that each family could only borrow one laptop when/if any additional laptops become available. I have three children. How can the district require mandatory virtual schooling if they are unable to provide the resources for children to learn at home?
**KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION**

If you have not registered your child for kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year, the time is now! It is important that we have an accurate number of students enrolled for this upcoming school year. Our kindergarten teachers are looking forward to welcoming our newest students to Paseo Verde!

Does anyone know if there's a target date to announce what the plan for the school is this fall?

We love the amazing leadership and character-building portion of the Apex program as it focuses on developing student self-control and interpersonal skills that are vital for school and life success. With this yearโ€™s theme, students will embark on an incredible two-week quest in search of the key to becoming great leaders, learning to dream big, and making a positive impact on the world. These quick, engaging lessons tie in with our schoolโ€™s vision and mission, encourage students to create a positive environment, and inspire them to lead by example.

๐—–๐—ข๐— ๐—œ๐—ก๐—š ๐—ฆ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ก! Our Apex Color Games fundraiser is coming to our school from Feb. 13th-24th.

We're so excited to tell you about our only major fundraiser this year, Apex Color Games for our 7th and 8th graders! Apex is a local company and will be on campus for TWO weeks bringing excitement and energy to our school. During the Apex Fundraiser, students will be challenged to get donations to raise money for our school. Funds raised this year will be used teacher needs and soccer equipment! Be looking for more info about the program and ways to support our school as we get closer to the event.

Apex is a local company that provides a fun 2-week program where students will learn about important leadership habits and good character traits. Then the program wraps up with a celebratory, high energy fitness event: The Apex Obstacle Course. Itโ€™s going to be a TON of FUN!

The funds raised from this event will go towards teacher needs and purchasing full size soccer goals/nets and equipment for our fields.

Weโ€™ll share more info about the Apex program and ways to support our school over the coming weeks.
