Cactus Blossom Kids, A Reggio Inspired Place to Play and Learn

We always have wood scraps on hand for the kids to stretch their imaginations. Last week, the kids used markers to turn the pieces into some practical learning tools- YouTube channel😂 On Friday, I put sanders out, and everyone went to work smoothing out the wood pieces and decided what they wanted their scraps to become. We talked about different items to get out and continue our project. We will keep you posted!

Tues/Thurs Class Week of Sept. 8, 2026
We loved the sprinkler!
Practicing those gross motor skills with lots of running and dancing.
P. requested the “Keepy-Uppy " song from Bluey, and we used scarves instead of balloons.
Dress-up continues to be popular, with most kids being community helpers.

Loose Parts Names
We use various items to fill in our bubble names. Rather than passively receiving information, this multisensory approach enhances understanding, improves memory retention, and fosters critical skills such as problem-solving and creativity by connecting abstract ideas to tangible experiences.
It is based on embodied recognition, which suggests that physical interaction strengthens learning, making it an effective strategy across subjects and for all ages.
