Penguin Patch Holiday shop open in the VT3 lab this Wednesday-Friday 8:30-3pm. Cash or check only. Items ranging from .25 cents to $13 items for friends and family! The shop will be open from 2-3 Wednesday for parent assisted shopping. We will be providing gift wrap for presents purchased!❄️🐧

This week’s highlight in honor of Native American Heritage Month: Mrs. Morales(Joe) and Natalie! Ya'at'eeh (Hello), Mrs.Morales is Tachnii'nii (Red Streak running into water) which is her mother's clan and she is born for the TsinSikaanii (Shade Tree people) her father's clan. Natalie Morales is also Tachnii'nii. Mrs. Morale’s family lives off the Navajo Nation, they are from Beclabito, New Mexico. They love their home, this is where they go to participate in thier sacred traditional ceremonies and blessings...ahe'hee (Thank you). We are honored to have Mrs. Morales and Natalie at Cheyenne💙

This week’s highlight in honor of Native American Heritage Month: Cooper Begaye a member of the Navajo Nation is originally from Chinle, AZ born within the bitter water clan and Water edge clan. Although growing up off the reservation, Cooper travels back to the Rez to spend time with his family and help with their livestock, wood gathering for the winter and partaking in traditional teachings. We are honored to have Cooper at Cheyenne.💙
November is Children and Teens Grief Awareness month. The Peoria Unified School District is parenting with Billy’s place to raise awareness of Childhood Grief, and next week Cheyenne will provide different activities on campus that the students can engage in to show support for those who have lost a loved one.
Our next PTSO meeting will be Monday, November 6th at 3:15 in the library! Please consider coming! In this meeting we will discuss our upcoming Holiday Store and other events. We need volunteers to help make this possible! We hope to see you there!
