Our 2025 end of summer recital was a huge success thank you to my amazing band of Brothers in The Killer Riffs,Kim and Wiley for the treats and Dawn Curry Deeb and the village of Metamora for allowing us the perfect location to present all the hard work these kids have been putting in the last couple of months!

Rudy: The thing is, when we're playing shuffles, it's got to swing.

If all you've played your whole life is rock and roll, you're going to have a harder time getting a feel for a real Chicago-style shuffle.

Back in the old days, you were not just a good blues drummer. You were a good drummer. Band leaders would say, "Now we're going to play a Latin groove. Now we are going to play swing. Now we're going to play a shuffle. Now we're going to play a ballad."

If you're a good drummer and you wanted to work, you'd have to know how to play everything.

This week marks my 20th year teaching drums!
Back in 2005 I started with a few students and shared some big dreams.
Thanks to all my students, their families, and many friends along the way that have made it a blessed reality!

It’s time to show off the fruits of our labor in the drum studio with a live performance!!
This year the students will be performing,once again ,with our house band The Killer Riffs !
The Date: Sunday September 14
The Time: 5pm
The Location : Metamora Town Square Band stand
The Cost: FREE to everyone! Donations to keep our recitals going accepted and appreciated !!!
