Hello, I have been a nurse for over 40 years, taking a brief break to raise my 2 kids. I am a proud grandmother of one and wanted to spend more time with her, so returning to school nursing was a perfect fit.
In my spare time, I am learning about furniture flipping and restoration.
I am excited to become a part of the Oakwood community. I look forward to working with staff and students in the coming year!

Teachers are officially back to campus tomorrow, but some have already been busy setting up their classrooms and preparing to meet and greet our Raider families on THURSDAY July 30th from 4-5:30.

Next week we can't wait to see our Raiders back on campus for Meet the Teacher! Campus will be open Thursday July 30th from 4:00-5:30.

Welcome to Oakwood Mrs. Roark!

I am so excited to join the Oakwood community! My teaching experience includes 3rd grade, 4th grade, 6th grade science/social studies, and junior high reading support. I also bring experience as a resource teacher for students in grades spanning kindergarten through sixth grade. I am passionate about literacy, and I find so much joy in supporting and empowering students with special needs.

I have two children who attended PUSD schools. When they were younger, I took some time off from teaching and started a small photography business in the Peoria area. Now, my daughter attends ASU, and my son studies at NAU. I returned to education two years ago, and I love being back in the classroom. On the weekends, my husband and I like to hike and explore Northern Arizona in our travel van. I also love to read a good book or go for a walk with my dog. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year and serving the families of Peoria as a Raider!

My name is Campbell Riddle, I’m going to be teaching 6th grade math. Some things I love outside of math are hiking, watching football and basketball, and going to the movies with my wife. I'm very excited to join the staff!

Hello! My name is Thomas Flores, and I’m excited to be joining the Oakwood family as the 7th/8th grade social studies teacher. I’ve been teaching middle school for the past 4½ years and enjoy helping students connect social studies to the world around them. Outside of the classroom, I’m a lifelong learner who recently earned my master’s degree in history from Arizona State University. In my free time, I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. I’m looking forward to meeting our students and being part of the Oakwood community this year!
