We are thrilled to welcome our dancers back to the studio as we officially begin our 2026/2027 season! 🩰💫

It is wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to welcome our new students and families to our dance community. Our faculty and staff are excited for another year of exceptional training, artistic growth, new challenges, and meaningful friendships that extend far beyond the studio.🤍

Central Illinois Ballet invites dancers ages 2 and up to audition for our annual production of The Nutcracker, a magical holiday tradition that creates lasting memories both on and off the stage.✨

This cherished production features:
🩰 Original choreography by Jessie Williams
💫 The professional company of Central Illinois Ballet
🎭 Beautiful costumes handcrafted by our talented in-house seamstress and dedicated volunteers
🎼 Tchaikovsky's timeless and beloved score
❄️ An unforgettable performance experience for dancers of all ages and levels

🎄Nutcracker Camp// July 20-24// 9:00am-11:00am

Join us for a week filled with dancing, crafts, imagination, and holiday magic as we bring the beloved story of The Nutcracker to life!

Each day, dancers will:
🎀 Learn age-appropriate ballet inspired by favorite characters like the Snowflakes, Toy Soldiers, and Sweet Treats

📖 Explore the story of The Nutcracker
🎨 Create festive crafts
🍎 Enjoy a snack break
💖 Build confidence, coordination, and creativity while making new friends!

The week wraps up with a special performance for family and friends at 10:30 AM on Friday, where our dancers will showcase everything they've learned! ✨

Pack a labeled water bottle, a simple snack, and ballet attire (or a festive holiday outfit they can dance in) we'll take care of the holiday magic! 🎄

Our Level 2/3 Summer Intensive is the perfect opportunity for dancers to build confidence, strengthen their technique, and discover new styles—all while having fun with friends who share their love of dance.

Not only will your dancer improve their technique, but they'll also make new friends, create lasting memories, and grow both as a dancer and as an artist.

💫 Level 1 Intensive Dance Camp // July 13–17 // 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

Give your dancer a strong start this summer with our Level 1 Intensive! Each day, students will take part in ballet, jazz, and tap classes, designed to strengthen foundational technique while keeping class fun, focused, and encouraging.

This intensive is also the perfect fit for students who will be moving up to Level 1 this fall, helping them build confidence, become familiar with expectations, and start the new season feeling prepared.

Dancers will work on key skills such as proper alignment, coordination, musicality, and classroom etiquette. Students will be appropriately challenged and supported as they build confidence and prepare for the upcoming fall semester.

All classes are taught by the professional dancers and artistic staff of Central Illinois Ballet, offering students the chance to learn directly from experienced performers who are passionate about helping young dancers grow and succeed.

This intensive is a great opportunity for dancers to:
✨ Strengthen technique
✨ Build confidence
✨ Make new friends
✨ Take their training to the next level

Snack Break:
Students will have a scheduled break each day. Please send a labeled water bottle and a quick, easy, non-messy snack.

Dress Code:
Girls:
* Any color leotard with pink tights
* Ballet, jazz, and tap shoes + clean sneakers
* Hair neatly secured away from the face (bun or ponytail recommended)
* Bring cover-up clothing (t-shirt, shorts, pants, etc.) for Tap, Hip-Hop, and conditioning

Boys:
* Solid-colored shirt with black leggings or jazz pants
* Ballet, jazz, and tap shoes + clean sneakers
* Bring cover-up clothing (t-shirt, shorts, pants, etc.) for Tap, Hip-Hop, and conditioning

Get ready for a magical week of dancing, storytelling, crafts, and fun! Each day features a different princess theme, and dancers are encouraged to dress up to match the day’s adventure! 💖

🌹 Monday: Beauty and the Beast
🌸 Tuesday: Sleeping Beauty
🧜‍♀️ Wednesday: The Little Mermaid
👠 Thursday: Cinderella
⭐ Friday: Show Day – Dress up as your favorite character!

Each day will include:
🩰 A short ballet or tap class

🍎 Snack time & story time
🎨 A fun craft inspired by the day’s story
🎶 Dance review and exciting dance games

🎬End-of-week Showcase
Join us Friday June 26 at 10:30am in our BlackBox Theater for a special camp performance. This performance is free, casual, and perfect for family and friends to see their little ones shine!
