I have been teaching biology in Peoria Unified for 21 years. While I like biology and science, I like helping people more. Although 21 years at one place is a long time, I did not hesitate at pursuing the opportunity to serve in a new capacity at Pathways in the S.O.A.R. Center. Helping students in a new way. A way that can help them continue the positive stories of their lives and building positive futures. I am very excited about this new chapter of my own story and the Pathways story.

I am excited to return to the Peoria Unified School District and to be at the Peoria Flex Academy. I am entering into my 18th year of teaching, originally from Rhode Island and a huge New England sports fan.

My name is Ronni Lynn Cope and I am excited to continue my journey with PFA after a little pause. I have always had a passion for teaching and understand how it feels to "not get it" when it comes to math. Working at PFA was the highlight of my career...helping troubled students achieve their goal of graduation amidst their many hardships and obsticles. I am grateful to be back this year and am excited to, once again, be a Falcon!

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return to Peoria Flex Academy (Pathways), a place where I have seen so many people faithfully pour into the lives of students with compassion, grace, and hope. After three years of teaching PE, I look forward to serving again with a grateful heart—encouraging students, building meaningful relationships, and helping create a place where every young person knows they are seen, valued, and capable of success.

I’ve been a school social worker for the past three years, with experience in behavioral health, hospitals, substance abuse, and residential settings. I’m a big believer in second chances, helping people see their worth, and cheering others on (probably a little too loudly). When I’m not at work, you can usually find me doing something with sports or with my husband and dogs. I'm so excited to be surrounded by others who strive to uplift and uphold our students to high standards. I’m so excited and thankful to be joining the Peoria Flex family!

Hello Falcon family. As the new principal at the Peoria Flex Academy, I aim to foster a culture where every student feels supported, every family feels welcomed, and every staff member feels purposeful and appreciated. My passion for education, rooted in the values instilled by my own family, drives my desire to lead the Flex Academy into its next chapter of growth, purpose, and opportunity. For the past ten years, I have had the privilege of teaching at PFA, where I have supported students who often arrive feeling discouraged or disconnected from traditional school settings. Helping these students who are at risk of not graduating rebuild confidence and find their academic pathway has become one of the most meaningful aspects of my career. I am excited to meet and greet all our new students on the new Peoria Pathways Campus.

Happy birthday to America! 250 years ago, on July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence forming the United States of America. From learning about the three branches of government to understanding the importance of voting, Peoria Unified is committed to educating our students to be civic-minded, responsible citizens.
