I'm so excited that we're starting our school-year sewing classes in September, and I can't wait to see all of my sweet students again! ❤️
We have a few exciting changes this year:
🧵 Classes are now 1½ hours long. I've found that this is the perfect amount of time to keep kids focused, engaged, and excited about their projects.
🧵 Morning and afternoon classes are available. If our classes fill up, we'll be happy to create a Waitlist and open additional sessions.
🧵 Classes remain bi-weekly (every other week). This gives families a break from driving every week while leaving room in your child's schedule for other extracurricular activities.
This year, students can choose from three fun curriculums:
✨ Crafts & More (4 workbook levels)
🩷 American Doll (1 year workbook)
👕 Teen Crafts & Clothing (workbook and patterns) AGE 12+for kids who already have been sewing with us or Age 14+ if you are sewing for the first time.
The Crafts & More and American Doll curriculums are taught together during the same class. Each student chooses which curriculum they would like to follow and work through the projects at their own pace.
To keep sewing fresh and exciting, I also add unique seasonal and specialty projects throughout the year. These one-of-a-kind creations keep students motivated, inspired, and always asking, "What's next?" 😊
All new students begin with Level 1 and progress through the workbook curriculum at their own pace as they build new sewing skills and confidence.

It is Prime Day on Amazon, and if you've been thinking about getting a sewing machine, now is a great time to take a look!
Amazon's Prime Day event runs June 23–26 this year, with deals across many categories, including sewing and crafting supplies. Don't forget to look for a seam guide ( the kids remember it as the magnet wall!!),chaulk and quilt pins( long pins).
We use Brother sewing machines in our studio. The model we currently use has been discontinued, but the newer Brother models have very similar controls, so they are easy for kids to learn on and transition to.
You don't need a fancy machine to get started. A basic computerized model can do far more than most beginners will ever need. Many include decorative stitches, buttonholes, and even built-in lettering so you can personalize your projects and have some fun with your creativity.

I had so much fun sewing with my grandson today! ❤️
He loves drawing his own patterns on paper and then bringing his creations to life with fabric and the sewing machine. Today he made an adorable monster plushie and designed his own arm accessories, showing off his creativity every step of the way.
Watching his imagination turn into real projects is such a joy. He is a talented, creative, and amazing young boy, and I am so proud of him. 🧵✨

Like the ribbon says, today is a good day. This thoughtful note truly warmed my heart. Knowing that sewing brings joy, creativity, and even a sense of peace to my students means so much to me.
