Our letter and name recognition practice has paid off! Today our friends worked together to find the letters of their names and determine which friends were “here” or “not here.”

We have a great bunch of pattern makers!

We worked together this morning to make a pattern with our unifix cubes, then our friends enjoyed making patterns of their own! They also had fun listening to our shared reading story, “Giraffes Can’t Dance.”

This morning we used pictures to help us learn about more instruments. Our friends made predictions about how they thought each instrument might make its sound, then we watched some videos of the instruments being played to test out our hypotheses. ☺️

We discussed which part of their body helped the musicians play the different instruments, then of course we had to take some time to play instruments of our own!

We have had a very fun (and noisy) morning! Our friends loved listening and dancing to different styles of music. We took turns discussing which ones were our favorite. We explored different instruments, then found other items around our center to make our own music with! We wrapped up our morning reading “M is for Music” together. 🥁🎶📖
