Did your student come home from school on Friday excited to sell Fannie May chocolates? Mine did! This is our school's biggest fundraiser and we need all hands on deck. It helps our PTC raise funds to run our events (like the Carnival, Trunk or Treat, Muffins with Misses, Donuts with Dudes, Grandparents Day, etc), support our teachers with supplies, buy recess equipment, and so much more. There are prizes for the students at multiple different levels, from a candy bar for 1 box sold to cash for selling more than 40 boxes. BUT, the big prize that every student loves is the limo ride to a pizza lunch that they can earn for selling more than 25 boxes. Work hard Bobcats! Have fun and help out your school. Return forms AND money for the boxes sold no later than September 9th.

We have A LOT of exciting things happening at Charter Oak!!

šŸThe Charter Oak Chase registration forms went home today.

Join us on Tuesday, September 29th at 6 p.m. for this fun 1-mile walk/run which consists of 2 loops around Charter Oak. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to participate in this run/walk!

The Charter Oak Chase is not just for students. Bobcat staff, former students, family members, community members, everyone is welcome to join us. For adults, please put ā€œadultā€ as the grade.
No shirt option: cost will be $10/person and registration forms are due no later than 9/18
Shirt option: cost will be $15/person and registration forms are due no later than 9/7
The form is in the comments section and will also be available in the Sunday email from school.

Checks should be made out to Charter Oak PTC. Cash is also accepted and should be sent to school in an envelope marked Charter Oak Chase. Any questions please contact Christina Rose at (630)677-2006.

TOMORROW (8/28) is College Colors Day! What does that mean? Your Bobcat can wear a shirt from any college/university OR any colors that represent the colors from a school FOR FREE. There is no need to send in money for your student to be out of uniform. This is a great opportunity to have discussions with your Bobcats about post high school opportunities- whether it is college, trade schools, military, etc. All Bobcats have a bright future and it's never to early to help get them thinking that they can achieve great things no matter their path.
