The cross country team has been chasing new PRs all season! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💨 Fourteen incredible runners in 4th-8th grade have worked hard to push their limits and today it’s time to take on the state course! 🏅

Fall sports may be winding down, but the Cougar pride is still going strong! 🏆🍂 Last night, we celebrated our 8th-grade fall athletes and all the hard work, teamwork, and memories that made this season special. And what better way to cap off the night than with a WIN for our volleyball team?! 🏐🔥

The seasons may change, but Cougar pride never graduates! 💛🐾

Concordia Lutheran School is seeking candidates willing to fill long-term substitute positions:
Immediate Short-Term Medical Leave: 3rd Grade Teacher for approximately 7 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm

Spring Maternity Leave: Jr. High ELA & 8th Grade Homeroom approximately March-May, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm.

Long-term Substitutes should have, at minimum, an associate's degree with substitute experience; however, a bachelor’s degree in education is preferred. All employees are expected to act in a manner that supports the Statement of Belief for the Lutheran Central School Association of Peoria, IL, and exemplifies the Concordia Lutheran School Christian Code of Conduct. Duties include lesson planning, grading, student supervision, and classroom management. Compensation is $132/day.

⛳️ On Friday Logan played in the IESA Golf State Finals at Metamora Fields and shot a new personal best of 73 (+2), finishing tied for 13th out of 92 golfers from across the state.

Even with playing through the ☔️ , some dreaded three-putts, and a frustrating double bogey, he kept his emotions in check and finished the day strong. 💪

🤩He walked off the 18th green and said, “that was so fun!”

That’s the Cougar spirit! Keep swinging! 🏌️‍♂️

🎶 What a beautiful Sunday at Redeemer Lutheran Church!🎶

Our Concordia students had the opportunity to share their voices and their faith through song with the congregation at Redeemer. What a blessing it was to hear our students lift their voices in worship! ❤️

⛳️ That’s a wrap on Golf Sectionals! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

🏆 Logan Phegley, a 5th grader, had an incredible round with a 74(lowest sectional score in Concordia history ), finishing 2nd overall behind the winner’s 68 and earning a spot at STATE! Logan is the first boy from Concordia to go to state since Jeremy Ott in 2016 . 🎉 Way to go, Logan!

👏 Camden and Ethan both posted PRs at Sectionals—what a great way to finish the season!

💪 Brady had a great showing in his first time competing at Sectionals. We’re proud of the way he stepped up and competed!

🌟 Hudson went out and gave it his all pushing through some tough holes and the ☔️. Great job, Hudson!

🏌️‍♀️ Vivienne had a fantastic season and finished Sectionals with a nine-stroke improvement from last year, putting her right in the middle of the pack! Keep swinging, Vivienne! 👏⛳️

🙌 Myrtle also had a great round, cutting 20+ strokes from her score last year, missing the State cutoff by only a few strokes. That kind of improvement is something to be proud of.

Congratulations to all of our Cougar golfers! We are proud of the way you competed and represented Concordia! ⛳️💛

Boys STATE is Friday, September 18th, at Metamora Fields. We’ll be cheering you on Logan! 🏆

Our Concordia Peoria golf team has been putting in the work all fall and having a whole lot of fun along the way! 💪⛳️ The experienced golfers along with those who are newer to the sport have continued to improve and compete together.

**Today is Sectionals!** 🏆 We’re excited to cheer on Camden, Ethan, Hudson, Brady & Logan as they hit the course and take on some great competition.

Play hard. Stay focused. Have fun.

Let's give a warm welcome to our Jr. High teacher Mrs. Kayla Archdale!

This will be Kayla‘s first year in the classroom, but she has spent the last ten years of her career working with kids and students in full-time church ministry. Kayla grew up a military kid, moving almost every two years, and her family settled in Peoria just before she graduated high school. She attended Olivet Nazarene University, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education with middle school endorsements in science, social studies, and language arts. She later went on to attend Lincoln Christian University, where she graduated with a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry. Kayla and her husband, Logan, have been married for almost two years and enjoy spending time outside or working on their house. She is also a long-time fan of photography, decorating for parties, the color green, and her two brothers. Kayla is thrilled to step into the classroom and shepherd the middle school students of Concordia!

There’s something beautiful about watching a caterpillar become a butterfly. 🐛🦋

Last week, Mrs. Anders shared with our students the amazing process of how a caterpillar changes inside its chrysalis before emerging as a butterfly. What looks like a quiet season of waiting is actually a time of incredible growth and transformation.

Just like the caterpillar grows and changes before becoming a butterfly, God is working in our students as they grow in His Word. Each day, His Word takes root in their hearts, shaping who they are and helping them grow to bear fruit.

We may not always see the changes happening right away—but God is at work. 🌱

💛God’s Word is Growing Me💛

Luke 8:15

As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.
