Meet Dr. Vannesia Darby ’12! A 2026 BUBAA Hall of Fame Inductee and member of BUBAA’s Past Presidents’ Council, Dr. Darby will host our inaugural Black at Bradley: Beyond the Hilltop conversation with Dr. Janie Charleston Clay ’14. Together, they’ll explore entrepreneurship, agriculture, storytelling, and how our experiences at Bradley shape the paths we take beyond the Hilltop.

Dr. Darby is a marketing leader, consultant, and scholar whose work sits at the intersection of entertainment, race, and online consumer behavior. A recipient of Bradley University’s 2023 Outstanding Young Graduate Award, she is the Digital Marketing Director at Shondaland and Founder and Principal Consultant of MOXIE Nashville. Through strategic marketing and research, Dr. Darby helps organizations understand audiences and drive meaningful growth.

Our Alumni Association Board gathered on campus Friday for our quarterly meeting. President James Shadid gave our board a campus tour, showing off our new Zaleski Recreation Complex and Ken and Doris Kolb Pavilion. They also got to check out the new Big Chair and shared a meal at Williams Dining Hall. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with campus, catch up with one another, and celebrate Homecoming.

Our board continues to bring thoughtful ideas and a strong commitment to strengthening connections across our Bradley community.

There’s nothing quite like having everyone back home on campus during Homecoming!🅱️
