Today is Memorial Day, a day dedicated to honoring those we lost who served in the U.S. military. All schools and offices are closed and will reopen for normal hours tomorrow.

Peoria Unified is proud to once again offer free summer meals at select locations throughout the district during Summer Break. Breakfast and lunch will be free for any child 18 and under. For adults who are 19 and older, breakfast will be available for $2 and lunch will be available for $4. Dates, times and locations can be found at peoriaunified.org/summermeals.

The Arizona Department of Education’s SUN Bucks program provides $120 per eligible child to assist with purchasing groceries for families who lose access to free or reduced-price school meals during the summer. If you already have an approved application for free or reduced-price meals on file with the Food and Nutrition Department, then your child was automatically enrolled in this benefit. If you did not complete an application during this school year and you feel that you would qualify for SUN Bucks, apply for this benefit by visiting azed.gov/SUNBucks before Aug. 3, 2026.
