At MGTCI, we believe it is important to create a well-rounded, culturally enriching learning environment. Each time we take a class to the Peoria Riverfront Museum, we discover that most of our students have never visited a museum before.

We’re grateful for the museum’s incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Experiences like these allow our students to learn beyond the classroom, broaden their perspectives, and encounter something new.

What’s That Blue Stuff!?

It’s called BARBICIDE®—the iconic blue disinfectant found in professional barbershops around the world.

Created in 1947, BARBICIDE is used to disinfect cleaned, nonporous barber tools and help prevent cross-contamination between clients.

🧬 WE’RE BUILDING MORE THAN BARBERS—WE’RE BUILDING UNDERSTANDING.

Today, MGTCI students brought anatomy and physiology to life by constructing and labeling their own animal cells using modeling clay.

Students identified key structures—including the cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, nucleolus, mitochondria, and ribosomes—and explained the function of each one.

At MGTCI, theory is not reduced to memorizing vocabulary. We create hands-on learning experiences that help students see it, build it, explain it, and remember it.

Barbering is both a skilled trade and a science. We prepare our students to understand everything behind the chair.
