Today we had a special visit from Athena the service dog! 🐶🐾 Our friends learned about the important jobs service dogs have and practiced being gentle, calm, and respectful. 💛

Our exploration of Community Helpers continues! 🚑

Today we learned all about EMTs, the important role they play in keeping our community safe, and how ambulances help them respond to emergencies.

We were especially excited to welcome for a hands-on visit! Our friends had the opportunity to explore an ambulance, learn about the equipment inside, and see firsthand what it’s like to work as an EMT!

We wrapped up last week with two very special community helper visits for our healthcare helpers day! We heard from a community based mental / behavioral health therapist and a labor and delivery nurse!

Children learned about giving shots, checking heartbeats, and swaddling a baby, then learned and practiced different strategies for social / emotional regulation.
