Today was the FINAL day of weekday summer sessions at the Sunrise Mtn. Library! I had the pleasure of working with 19 different students from the end of May through now, and I couldn’t be more proud of them! Today, I recognized 3 amazing scholars. Two are going into fifth, and one will be in sixth grade. One has wowed me with her growth in reading and comprehension, and her creativity. The other two showed me a love of writing, and wow.. we wrote, this summer! I still have a few more to hand out this Saturday which is technically my kickoff to the new school year. Way to go!

My one and only remarkable reader award for today was given to this sweet one. He’ll be entering first grade next week, and in the short time we’ve been working together, he’s grown SO much in reading! I cannot wait to continue our work together during Saturday sessions. 🩵

Yesterday marked our final summer session together, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the season than receiving this thoughtful review. ❤️

It was such a privilege to work with this incoming 9th grader on strengthening writing skills and building confidence before high school begins. Watching students grow over the summer is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Thank you to this wonderful family for trusting me with your child’s learning journey and for taking the time to share such kind words. Wishing your student a fantastic freshman year… I know they’re going to do great things!

This week marks the end of my summer ELA tutoring sessions, and while I’m so proud of everything my students have accomplished, I’m especially excited for one of my favorite traditions…

Summer tutoring wraps up this week, and Saturday sessions officially begin August 1.

The plan for next school year: I will continue to offer Saturday tutoring sessions on (most) weekends during the school year. Holidays, family, and other work related events may impact the Saturdays I offer tutoring. Thank you for your understanding! But… I will now offer early morning sessions at a local Starbucks (my fave!) AND continue offering library sessions beginning at 11am.
