A little reminder from Learn a Latte ☕️📚

I’ll be honest… I’ve gotten a little relaxed about enforcing my cancellation policy. I completely understand that we’re heading into cold & flu season and that things come up, but please be mindful that the hour reserved for your child is held specifically for them, and materials have already been prepared and printed.

Going forward, the 48-hour cancellation policy will be enforced. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to a 50% or 100% cancellation fee, depending on when the cancellation is received. The applicable fee will be due immediately.

My policy is here to protect my time, not punish families. I truly appreciate your understanding and respect for my time and small business. 🤎☕️

Know Before You Vote: Prop 428 📚

If you live in the Peoria Unified School District, Prop 428 is an important measure to learn about this election.

The proposal would continue the district’s existing budget override, which helps fund programs and services for PUSD students and staff.

📚 Full-day kindergarten
🎨 Art, music, PE & other special-area programs
🏫 Manageable class sizes
⚽ Athletics & extracurricular activities
👩‍🏫 Teacher and staff support
❤️ Student health services

Hi families!
I wanted to reach out to let you know I have opened all of my available Saturdays and Sundays through the end of 2026.

Saturdays, I will offer morning sessions at the Starbucks closest to the library (near DQ) and then library sessions from 11-4pm.

Sundays, I will offer morning / early afternoon sessions at the Starbucks in Vistancia (near the Circle K).

Sessions are filled at a first come / first serve basis. Thank you SO much for allowing me to be a part of your child’s learning journey. 💜

My little buddy, yesterday asked, “Are you going to cry?” I responded, “Just some happy tears!” I was in all actuality trying to get him to write about his new first grade teacher that he sees daily, AT SCHOOL… but, when he insisted on writing about me, who could say no? Oh, and I told him I teach all grades for he told me first grade is all that matters. 😂

Dyslexia and dysgraphia can look different, but neither is a reflection of intelligence, effort, or potential. When we understand the why behind a struggle, we can better support the learner behind it. ✨

Every child deserves to feel capable, confident, and celebrated for the strengths they bring to the table. 📚💕
