Have you had breakfast and lunch today? If so, what did you have?
One of the first things we notice about a lot of our newer clients is that they wake up early and immediately start working hard. In the morning hustle there's usually a high chance that they skip breakfast or only consume about 200 calories worth of nutrition on-the-go. Regular calorie intake is essential to overall health and fitness, especially for those of us who put in long hours or use our brains on the job. That's right, our brains also need calories to function properly, along with adequate hydration. Make the choice to take care of your health today, or someday you might be forced to.
Here we have a simple, but well balanced meal of kale, basmati rice, eggs, walnuts, 1 banana, and a high fiber peach smoothie.
If you haven't eaten yet today, why did you skip it?
Don't forget to eat! 🍎

We met the legendary Power Ranger himself on his tour to help save local comic shops. What an inspiration to go above and beyond for the local community and a great fitness role model as well in the martial arts community!

Meet Connor. Connor trained with us in preparation for Bootcamp. Connor and his dad came to us looking for help with his running. After researching the new army PT test and consulting with a friend who is already in the Army, we built a plan to help Connor improve all of his results while working on his running form and endurance. Form was key for running (and all the exercises really) to bring him down to the 18minute range, but we had to increase his strength and make sure he could hit above the heavy infantry standards as well.
*Connor added 90lbs to his deadlift, 1.5m to his power throw, almost quadrupled his reset pushups, dropped 40 seconds in his Sprint/Drag/Carry, significantly increased high knee tucks, and dropped 3 minutes off his 2 mile time*
"My dad signed me up for this and I wasn't sure about it at first. I felt like I was doing good with my after school workouts, but I feel so much more prepared and confident now. Training with Skyward Performance was extremely helpful getting ready for the Army." -Connor J
Good luck Connor! We know you're going to kill it!! 🔥💪🏃♂️

Our slogan "Aim Higher" is one we chose through the desire to inspire.
The phrase "Aim Higher" can mean something different to everyone on any given day and doesn't necessarily have to be fitness related. It can mean to aim for something higher religiously, morally, competitively, quantitatively, or even just simply to do one thing better today than you did yesterday.
Whatever "Aim Higher" means to you today, we want to help you be successful in that.

"I started coaching over 10 years ago to give back. I was still in college doing marathons and triathlons at the time and loved working out and racing, but I didn't want my victories to just be mine. I wanted to help others better themselves and actually enjoy training. At the time it was younger athletes who have all since grown and several graduated college themselves. I wanted to do my part to teach them things I had learned through countless hours of self study and training and try to be a bright spot in each athlete's, and now all client's, day. That's what we're here for, to make a difference in coaching so each person we get to work with has a better day and a more confident tomorrow."

I've always liked shopping local and decided to create Skyward Performance in a way that helps people succeed in their fitness journeys, have a little more flexibility when it comes to actual workouts, and have a more personal "mom and pop" feel.
We do our best to go above and beyond to treat our clients as family from the day you sign up, even if you leave or take a break. Bobby trained with us a while back, but he's still a part of the Skyward Performance family today and we're thankful for him!

Meet Coach Cory:
Founder of Skyward Performance, Husband, 2 time Age Group Duathlon National Champion, 5 time Age Group Triathlon and Duathlon Team USA qualifier, 2 time Boston Marathon qualifier, Nerd, Choral Singer, all around goofball.
"I enjoy training a lot and helping others train to achieve their goals makes me extra happy! To be honest, I really just want to help people enjoy their health and be confident in who they are. We're all human, but being comfortable in our skin is something a lot of people struggle with, and I want my clients to know that they've always got someone in their corner."
