First Friday of the school year and our Pride Team wanted to flick it up with a ton of pictures with our staff! They brought the energy and finished off our first week with a Fun Friday! Rocked some new gear and set the tone for a great school year!

And here they come!!!! Back and better than ever is our new Pride Team group of student leaders that came in today for leadership training and Freshman Orientation. They knocked out goals and fun activities for the school year. Then they completed a scavenger hunt, team building activities, healthy communication, and then went and helped out with freshman orientation by giving tours and getting the incoming freshman ready for the upcoming school year!! Awesome things to follow from this crew!!!

PHS Pride Team officers come in clutch again and planned an awesome GYT event and Health Fair. Proud of this group and them following in the footsteps of many former amazing Pride Team members in continuing to make this a great event for our community!!

Peoria High is More

During COVID, PHS teachers and staff sent food to students houses, showed up with costumes, gave gifts during the holiday season, and constantly checked in on every one of their students.

When a student at Peoria High was battling with cancer, PHS came together and took 3 school buses full of kids to that house and showered their classmate, teammate, and friend with love and support.

PHS AVID students have held a clothing drive and canned food drive for the homeless, multiple years in a row to give back to the community.

When PHS had fights and major disruptions throughout the school and outside of it last September ~ Pride Team chose to rise above and make gift baskets for every SRO
(student resource officer) and every assistant principal there that day, to show our appreciation to them for all of their hard work to keep us safe.

PHS Pride Team flooded the halls and every locker with Positive sticky notes and messages to remind students they are not alone, and they matter. When our first football game of the year got cut short, we made every senior in football, band, cheer, and dance whose opening night was affected; goodie bags and cards, to show them love.

When Peoria High sees a need, we do our absolute best to fill it above and beyond.

Rotary Club and Key Club will be hosting an event On Sept. 14 to counter those disruptions last year on Sept. 17 to spread light on Peoria High and bring the community together and rise above the negativity.

Peoria High is more than a fight or negative news report. Peoria High is the Pride of the City and we do beat negativity.

Positive Post-it Note Friday at Peoria High School today brought to you again by our amazing Pride Team. They made hundreds and hundreds of positive messages and gave them to teachers, APs, SROs, friends, and on students lockers to spread motivational messages after completing our first full week back at school! Keep up the good work!!

A few pride team kids got together today for Assistant Principal Appreciation Week and made gift baskets, posters, and of course we got lunch. Great work PHS pride team!!
