Linda graduated from Celebration College and joined us at The Fully Equipped Bible Institute. She is home with Jesus but will be missed on earth. Please pray for those she has left behind who will miss her bright presence deeply.

As Celebration College we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Linda Ejikeme on her passing.

Linda was a Bible School alumnus, and her life and faith helped leave a lasting impact within our community. We pray that God will comfort you with His peace, strengthen you through this difficult time, and grant you hope in the midst of your grief.

We hold on to God’s promise in **Psalm 34:18**: *“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”*

May her soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST: CHURCHES IN HAITI

We’re asking you to stop and pray with us today for the Church in Haiti.
In late August, an armed gang attacked a church in Kenscoff, near Port-au-Prince, that was sheltering families who had already fled earlier violence. Dozens of lives were lost, including children, and many more were taken captive. It’s one of the most devastating attacks on a church community we’ve seen reported in recent memory.

This isn’t an isolated incident. Gangs now control the majority of Haiti’s capital, and churches across the city have been forced to close their doors simply to keep their people safe. Pastors, priests, and church leaders are being targeted — not despite their faith, but because of it. Local leaders describe the Church as one of the last places of moral and social stability left standing, which is exactly why it’s under attack.

We have a student, Pastor Paul, who lives in Haiti and has asked that we hold him and his family in prayer. He states that over 300 have been massacred over the last couple of months, including some of his family, pastors, friends, congregants, and community members. Please pray for Nepal!

We are sending Samaritan's Purse disaster relief specialists to Nepal to work with our partners on the ground and provide urgently needed relief supplies for suffering families hit hardest by the sudden landslide and catastrophic floods this week. We previously worked in this area after the 2015 earthquake there. We are preparing to distribute emergency food, as well as send an airlift with tarps, blankets, solar lights, hygiene kits, and more. Over 500 people are now confirmed dead, with more than 1,000 still missing. Pray for our teams, those suffering from this disaster, and the rescue workers searching the area for survivors.

Ever seen how quickly weeds take over a garden or a lawn? You can mow weeds but they won’t go away unless you kill the root. It’s the same with us. If we give in to bitterness, judgment, self-pity, resentment, unforgiveness, etc., they will put down roots in our hearts and begin to consume our thinking.

What to do? We’re called to take every thought captive. If the thought is not in line with God‘s character or His Word, we need to let it go. Don’t let the negative emotion turn into an internal dialogue, or worse yet, harmful actions. Let the emotion trigger you to prayer, giving the difficulty to God. He promises to keep us in perfect peace if we stay focused on Him. Weeds rob us of His peace and of fruitfulness in our lives. It’s why we’re told to above all else, guard our hearts.

We have been bought with the highest price, our Savior’s blood. Our lives are no longer our own. We have gifted with unique spiritual gifts and empowered by the Holy Spirit to use them to serve in His Kingdom work. We can’t afford to be distracted by this world. May we seek, surrender, and serve our risen Savior!
