Awaken Hearts Academy

Here are some things we did the last week! Talent show, water day, and build your own drink station. We also played jeopardy to review our content learned in history and science, played board games, conducted progress checks, and had our last class store along with a giant auction! Most of all, we enjoyed signing our yearbooks and spending time together 🙂

What a wonderful thing it is for the Lord to trust us with his angels. We are blessed to have this calling as mothers and none of us hold this responsibility lightly. We pour everything into these children daily, so let today be a day of rest and pour back into yourself! Happy Mother’s Day to our amazing moms. Thank you for pouring into our school with the same care as you do at home. We love and appreciate every single one of you!

As we have been learning about space, we will be making our own planets! This week we teamed up with both classrooms to make paper mache planets ☺️ This gave us a chance to work with friends we never get to work with on a normal day! We used a mixture of water, glue, and modge podge for our paste and used newspaper and construction paper for our outer layer. Once dried, we popped the balloons and we will paint them next week. We ended our day being space crafts to get out all that pent-up energy! We are excited to present all our crafts at this years’ annual showcase!!

He is risen!! Recalling the price Jesus paid for us reminds us how immense God’s love truly is. How beautiful it is to know he thought of each and every one of us, even before we were born. Our school honored his sacrifice all week through various activities, books, and heart to heart conversations on what he endured in order for our sins to be forgiven. Finally, we ended the week with our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Congratulations to our two students who found the golden eggs! We hope you all have a very Hoppy Easter 🐰🐣

Little Explorers were fooled GOOD this year! Mrs. Sam found a new mysterious bird that has been sited in our area. Our friends did not shy away from the challenge to catch one, or at least find one in sight, today. They were given steps to lure the bird and put them into action. Then when they couldn’t find one after some time, they went to the bathroom to read a note that read APRIL FOOLS. The funny thing about the bird is it was called a Sloof Lirpa which is actually “April fools” backwards. Once they read the bird’s name in the mirror, they realized they were pranked all along 😂 we have fun here
