✨️🎉Last week, Cadance received the Deborah L. Ford Emerging Leader Award at the Student Leadership Awards! Savannah was also a finalist for the SLAs. Congratulations to both of these rising stars! ✨️🎉

A major congratulations to FGL Scholar Savannah Mayer and the team for bringing home the bronze medal at the NCA College Nationals! We are so proud of you all and the dedication and hard work it took to achieve this!! 💚💙💚💙

The morning started with Explore UWF and ended with a park cleanup! Thank you to Brogan, Cadance, and Lucy for taking time out of their weekend and embodying what it means to be an FGL scholar.

✨️It's time to wrap up the FGL Feature Fridays for the academic year with the one and only Claire!

"Hi! My name is Claire Smith and I am studying psychology at the University of West Florida. When I'm not studying or at work, you can find me at home with a new craft project in hand or outside appreciating our beautiful city. So far, my favorite thing about the program has been having the privilege to travel to see what leadership looks like in different places. I look forward to the years to come, but I especially look forward to mentoring future scholars."

We love having Claire as a Fredric G. Levin Scholar!

Recently, our FGL scholars took to the countryside to explore leadership, team dynamics, and nonverbal communication with the help of some equine friends. They practiced their observation skills, explored themes of leadership through painting, and put their trust and teamwork skills to the test with an obstacle course.

Our FGL Feature Friday this week is Savannah! She's a Biomedical Science major here at UWF. When not at you can find her engaging in her studies, working out, or spending time with family and friends. We are so lucky to have Savannah in the program!

Our Fredric G. Levin Scholars did a fabulous job representing the UWF student body alongside at the Capitol for UWF Day. They were able to meet with legislators and see the Florida Senate and House in action.
