Marine Service Technology student Noah Mitchell receives a $1000.00 Pensacola Propeller Club Tool Scholarship.
The scholarship was presented to Noah at the 2nd Annual Pensacola Propeller Club National Maritime Day Luncheon on May 22, 2026. Also present were Principal Steven Brooks, Assistant Principal Megan Carroll, and Marine Service instructor Stefan Schmitt.
Additionally, we had the wonderful opportunity to meet Bruce Stone, the son of George Stone, whom George Stone Technical College was named after.
National Maritime Day is a reminder of just how much this industry means to our city.
At the meeting maritime leaders, partners, and advocates came together to celebrate the people and work that keep our waterfront moving. The Port of Pensacola was proud to be part of the conversation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to Ms. Lauren Rand, Florida Department of Transportation Seaports Office Director, for giving the Keynote speech. Congratulations to this year's award winners who represent the strong maritime community in Pensacola. Well done to the Pensacola Propeller Club - Bay Area Port of Historic Pensacola for organizing this great event.
