Congratulations to Zac Lacher on being elected Eminent Archon of the Florida Sigma Chapter! Zac is currently enrolled in the UWF Army ROTC program and will commission as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation. He has accomplished so much and we are so excited to see what he has in store for this chapter!

This Weeks post goes to Brother Mitchell Brooks! Straight out of his Hometown Perdido Key, Fl. He chose to stay close to home. He’s a Junior pursuing a degree in Sports Management, so he’ll talk your ear off about the LeBron Vs Jordan Debate. During his free time he enjoys going to the beach, balling with the bro’s, and fishing. In his 3 years he’s easily been one of the most proactive brothers throughout our chapter, holding nearly every executive position at least once and President under his belt twice. This past Fall he was voted King of Diamonds by the lovely ladies of Alpha Delta Pi! Phi Alpha to this True Gentleman! @ UWF Sigma Alpha Epsilon

"It was the Fall Semester of 1986. I packed up my 1969 Oldsmobile Delta 88 and headed from NJ to Pensacola, Florida. Little did, I know that the drive would change my life. 30 years (and 8 kids) later, I find myself married to the girl who I met at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon House during my first semester of college!
The trip to Florida was a tumultuous journey. My high school buddy, Shawn, and I arrived on Campus at about 1:00 in the morning. He slept in the back seat of my Oldsmobile; and I had the front seat. We parked the car over near the softball field, thinking that would be a great spot for a little “car camping”…the campus police officer who we met later in the night had a different idea; so, we instead car-camped in the parking lot of the Hardees on 9 Mile Road and drove back to campus the next day for registration and orientation. Of course, we had biscuits and gravy first!"

On behalf of the True Gentlemen of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, we would like to wish our university president the best of luck as she celebrates her last home game as President before she retires! This football team has been great & we have enjoyed tailgating. We cannot wait to continue next year! Thanks to those who supported UWF football!
