Midori has been teaching piano for over 30 years in beautiful East Hill, and is accepting new students. I am a classically trained pianist from Tokyo, Japan.

I began lessons at the age of 5 and attended the Ueno Music Conservatory, studying under Dr. Kazuko Ogiwara, a world concert pianist. I also studied with Dr. Hisashi Yamato, a composer with Kunitachi Music University. I moved to the united States in 1991 and studied locally under Mr. Robert Sherwood, Dr. Sammie Tucker, and Dr. Hedi Salanki-Rubardt. I have now been teaching for 25 years and believe that people of all ages and skill levels can enjoy playing the piano.

My Story
