An amazing group of volunteers from the Rotary Club of Pensacola descended on the Central Warehouse this morning and packed 100 boxes for Tools for Teachers in an hour!

A District, continued upward trajectory!

Progress is happening across ECPS. 📈

The latest FAST assessment results show improvement across multiple grade levels and subject areas. Every point of growth represents a student building new skills, a teacher finding a way to help something click, and a school community committed to moving forward.

7th grade ELA: 47% → 58%
7th grade Math: 34% → 42%
Civics: 62% → 72%
10th grade ELA: 49% → 56%
8th grade Science: 47% → 53%
Biology: 66% → 71%

We’re proud of the progress. And we’re ready to keep building on it going into the new school year.

ECPS Transportation Safety & Training Office Named Regional Winner in Best of Florida Awards!

Guide to Florida has officially announced the winners of its annual Best of Florida Awards, honoring top-rated local businesses chosen entirely by customer and reader votes. ECPS Transportation Safety & Training Office has been named a Best of Florida Regional Winner in the Driving Schools category.

The Best of Florida Awards analyze thousands of votes cast across the state to highlight local organizations that show exceptional commitment to quality service, student safety, and community trust.

"We are deeply honored to receive this recognition," said Darlene Hart, ECPS Director of Transportation. "Our Safety & Training Manager, DOE-certified Instructor Trainer Kate Lewis, and her dedicated team of Florida DOE-certified instructors and third-party testers work hard every day to give new school bus operators and bus assistants the confidence and skills they need to keep student passengers safe on Florida roads. Being recognized by our community and students makes this award incredible."

ECPS Transportation Safety & Training Office offers personalized driving instruction, classroom theory, first aid & CPR training, behind-the-wheel training, traffic safety & defensive driving courses, and road testing support for qualified applicants to become school bus operators and assistants within Escambia County Public Schools.
