Last Friday, the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) hosted its annual Distinguished Undergraduate Researcher Award Ceremony. The ceremony highlights students and projects from across the university, resulting in an inter-departmental showcase of academic excellence.
This year, the Department of History and Philosophy was proud to honor Liberty Moench with this achievement. Liberty is an Advanced Bachelors-to-Masters student who is taking three master's courses, interning with the Chappie James Museum, and conducting individual research on Pensacola's San Carlos Hotel. She is the epitome of a historian's ambition, and we could not think of anyone more deserving.
Thank you to the Office of Undergraduate Research for hosting this event, and congratulations once again to all award recipients.

Alumni Spotlight: Charles Cox
You may know him as Professor Cox, but before he was an amazing adjunct, he was once an Argo student like you!
Charles Cox, a Ph.D candidate at Texas Christian University, graduated from the Department of History and Philosophy with his B.A. in 2020 and his M.A. in 2022.
After years of hard work, hours of researching, and one dissertation later, he accepted a tenure-track position at Midwestern State University. Congratulations to MSU's newest Assistant Professor of American and Public History. We are so proud of all he's done and the work he continues to do. While he's now a mustang, he will forever be an Argo!
