If you are looking for a relationship-based school that is committed to building your effectiveness in early childhood ministry, we invite you to join our faculty at Amazing Grace Christian Preschool! We understand that our teachers are a vital influence on our communityโs families, so we nurture our team to equip them to teach at their best. Our Christian-based center provides a quality landscape for a joyful, family-oriented, and faith-building early education environment. Our school-year program serves children ages 2-5 with our quality early education environment. We ensure our teachers have encouragement through training and mentoring, while building a team of passionate, innovative early childhood educators. We are looking for teachers who:
โข Profess and exhibit a living and active personal relationship with Jesus Christ โ as evidenced in the teacherโs mission-oriented mindset, regular worship participation at a Christian church, and personal spiritual habits of Bible study and prayer
โข Support the outreach and discipleship mission of Grace Lutheran Church and its Preschool
โข Meet or exceed the Florida VPK teacher requirements, including background checks and required trainings (we can help you with this!)
โข Have post-secondary education in Child Development/Early Childhood Education, and/or CDA credential (for Lead Teachers)
โข Demonstrate an understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) in a play-based academic setting (Piaget and Vygotsky theory-driven)
โข Demonstrate an authentic love for working with preschool children, supported by teaching skills to build childrenโs growth across the developmental domains โ including nurturing childrenโs spiritual growth through modeling, teaching, and praying with students and families
Our school is in session late August through May; main preschool sessions are 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday, with potential additional Early Bird and Stay-n-Play session hours. Position will begin August 10th for school year prep. Wages are dependent on qualifications and experience, starting at $14.00+. Our school provides an excellent preschool environment with teacher life balance, all while sharing the love of Jesus as we prepare children for Kindergarten.
