The West Florida High School Legacy Hall of Fame is seeking nominations to honor graduates and retired staff members who are noted for high levels of achievement in his/her field of endeavor and who make significant contributions to that field.

These honored alumni and staff are people who exemplify the tradition of excellence fostered at West Florida High School. This program of recognition will reinforce to the students of West Florida High School the importance of a sound educational foundation.

Criteria:
-Nominees should have graduated from West Florida High School at least 10 years prior to nomination or retired from service at least 3 years prior to nomination.
-A nominee has been recognized by his/her peers for a high level of achievement in his/her field and made significant contributions to that field at the state, national, and/or international levels.
-A nominee has demonstrated leadership, character, and service by sharing his/her expertise at the community, state, or national initiatives.

Please use this form to nominate a candidate for selection into the Legacy Hall of Fame. Anyone may submit a completed nomination form for consideration whether or not you attended WFHS. Alumni/retirees cannot nominate themselves. Posthumous nominations will be accepted.

Summer is here, and the following books are required summer reading for ALL STUDENTS at West Florida High School for the 2026-27 school year.

Freshmen Families: if you missed our Jag 101 Night, you can still pick up your Freshman Folder in the front office this summer.

The folder has important information like the WFHS Quick Start Guide, a letter from Principal Shannon, extra curricular handouts, and the summer reading.

Our Esports SSBU Black team made it to the Elite 8 in the PlayVS Cup National Championship tournament, which is made up of only state and regional champions. After getting a bye in the first round and a #9 seed, Stefano, Neco, Cam, and Jordan won the next two games pitting them against the #1 seed FLVS Fury Royal.

Unfortunately, that is where the journey ends, with an 0-3 loss against the best team in the nation. We are incredibly proud of all the hard work and dedication they have and for putting West Florida High on the national stage!

Attention rising 9th grade families: Jag 101 Night is tomorrow at 6:00 P.M. in the WFHS Gymnasium! Parents and students should plan on attending. WFHS will provide important paperwork and pass along vital information before the summer begins.

For the final moment in our “25 for 25” series, we celebrate our 2026 graduating class. In our 25th Anniversary Year, we celebrate the ‘26 Class who will graduate tomorrow at the Bay Center at 2:30 P.M.

The Senior Panorama photo is a rite of passage for 12th graders and a great way to celebrate our students!
