The position requires the coordinator to arrange field education experiences for all undergraduate and graduate social work students. The coordinator is responsible for working as an extension of the field office to support efforts in recruiting placement sites, developing university affiliation agreements with agencies, interviewing students, completing written documentation of the student's field education experience, developing field documents, and providing training for field instructors..

šCommunity impact in action with UWF Department of Public Health
On May 20, the Northwest Florida Community Cancer Collaborative (NWFCCC), alongside the Florida Department of Health Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, hosted its 11th 3-D Mobile Mammography screening event at the Health & Hope Clinic in Pensacola.

Dr. Justice Mbizo, Professor, epidemiologist, and principal investigator in the Department of Public Health within the Usha Kundu, MD College of Health, continues leading community-engaged research supporting the 2026ā2030 Florida State Cancer Plan and efforts to reduce the burden of cancer in Florida.

Meet Kara Dingess ā13, assistant professor of psychiatry at Tulane Universityās Center for Autism and Related Disorders.
After receiving her bachelorās degree in psychology from the UWF Usha Kundu, MD College of Health, Kara now uses both her education and experience with psoriatic arthritis to empathize with her patients, providing clarity and resources during times of uncertainty.
