Perhaps most exciting of all, we’d like to congratulate Writing Lab tutor Grace Lindquist on completing her thesis for her English bachelor’s degree at UWF! 🥳

Her fascinating paper titled “Dismantling the Dragonslayer: Cross-Media Adaptation and the Reconstruction of Heroism in the ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Franchise” discusses how post 9/11 culture led to the creation of a new empathic and culturally sensitive kind of hero that subsequent generations can look up to.

We’re so proud of Grace’s excellent work and so pleased that she’ll be continuing to share her knowledge as a tutor in the Writing Lab this fall! 🤩

We have even more good news to share! PSC Writing Lab tutor Laila Chavarria Service (4th person from the right) just completed her certification to become an Emergency Medical Technician! 🥳

Having the skills to help others in emergency situations has been a dream of Laila’s for some time, and we are so proud to see her (and all of her EMT friends) achieve that goal! 🤩

Please join us in congratulating Writing Lab tutor Arren Joseph-White on finishing their last PSC class! 🥳 We are so proud of you!

Arren’s transferring to the University of West Florida in a few weeks, but don’t worry, they’ll still be tutoring at the Writing Lab with us this fall. 😁
