As a reminder, road closures will be in effect in Downtown Pensacola Friday, May 29 for the annual Grand Fiesta Parade.
The parade will begin at 7 p.m. and the float staging area along with the parade route will be closed to traffic approximately three hours before the start of the parade.
The Grand Fiesta Parade will follow the same modified downtown parade route as the Krewe of Lafitte Parade and the Grand Mardi Gras Parade which means the parade will start at North Palafox Street, cross Garden Street, and then travel down to South Jefferson Street to Main Street.
Residents and visitors are reminded to follow all posted signage and remember that parking is prohibited on the parade route.
Parking is also prohibited on the following streets:
➡️Main Street between Reus and Jefferson Street
➡️Reus Street between Main Street and Garden Street
➡️Garden Street between Reus and Jefferson Street
➡️Baylen Street between Main and Wright Street
➡️Portions of Tarragona and Chase Street north of Garden Street
Vehicles will be towed if found on the parade route or the additional “no parking” zones when the road closures start.
Street closures will also extend to Tarragona Street, DeVilliers Street, and Main Street.
As a reminder, drivers and pedestrians are asked to use caution in the area as heavy parade and float traffic is expected between Wright Street and Main Street, impacting Garden Street, Jefferson Street, Palafox Street and Spring Street.
For more information on road closures, please contact the Pensacola Police Department at 850-435-1845.
