We truly have the most amazing families here at Little Spuds! ๐Ÿ’›

A huge shoutout to one very special parent who helped bring the magic to life by being our Easter Bunny last week! ๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŒธ Your time and willingness to make our children smile did not go unnoticed.

It means so much to have families who jump in and help create these unforgettable moments for our little learners. We are so grateful for you! ๐ŸŒท

Last week, the Easter Bunny made a very special stop in our 2-year-old classroom! ๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŒธ

Our tiniest friends had the cutest reactions- some waved, some clung tight to their teachers, and a few bravely checked out the Bunny from a safe distance. No matter their reaction, it was full of sweet, unforgettable moments!

Last week, our Pre-K3 classroom had the sweetest visit from the Easter Bunny! ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ’

Our little ones were full of excitement: some were eager for hugs, others were a bit shy, but every moment was absolutely precious. There were lots of smiles, a few curious looks, and so much joy as they experienced the magic of the Bunny right in their classroom.

Caught in the Actโ€ฆ Learning! โœ๏ธโž•

Today I walked by our VPK art center expecting to see masterpieces in the making- paintings, drawings, and colorful creations. Instead, I caught a group of my students busy writing their own math problems!

In a space where they can create anything their hearts desire, these little learners chose to challenge themselves with numbers and equations. Watching them naturally bring math into their play is such a sweet reminder that when children are excited about learning, it shows up everywhere- even in the art center!

Moments like this make my teacher heart so proud. โค๏ธ Our VPK students continue to amaze me with their curiosity, creativity, and love of learning.

Thank you, Mayor D.C. Reeves, for supporting early childhood education and for making our Little Spuds feel so important today!

Today during our visit with Mayor D. C. Reeves, one of our sweet Pre-K3 students shared that her mom had said no to going to the park.

Mayor D.C. Reeves had the best response! He told her, โ€œNext time, you can tell your mom that the mayor kindly suggests you go to the parkโ€ฆ as long as itโ€™s a city park!โ€ ๐ŸŒณโ˜€๏ธ

Our students thought that was the BEST idea ever! Moments like these made todayโ€™s visit so special and memorable for our little learners. We loved having Mayor D.C. Reeves spend time with our school! ๐Ÿ“šโค๏ธ

What a special day at Little Spuds ELC! ๐Ÿ“šโœจ

Today our Pre-K3 and VPK students had a very exciting visitor - Mayor D.C. Reeves of Pensacola!

He came to our school at the invitation of one of our very own students, Sophia, who asked if he would come read to us this week in celebration of Read Across America.

Mayor D.C. Reeves read the sweet book, Mayor Baby, which shares some of the important responsibilities of being a mayor. Our students loved hearing about how he serves our community and he even connected several parts of the story to his real job!

Before he left, Mayor D.C. Reeves shared what he believes is the most important job of all - being kind. He encouraged our students to always be kind to one another and to their amazing teachers. ๐Ÿ’™

A big thank you to Mayor D.C. Reeves for taking the time to visit our Little Spuds family and helping us celebrate the joy of reading!

๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿ’š Green Eggs and Ham Day in VPK! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฅš

โ€œDo you like them, Sam I am?โ€ Today, our VPK chefs got busy in the classroom! First, we made predictions and graphed whether we thought we would like green eggs and ham. Then, each student got to mix up and cook their very own green eggs and ham. After tasting their creations, we graphed the results to see who loved it and who was a little unsure!

Learning is always more fun when itโ€™s hands-onโ€ฆ and delicious! ๐Ÿ˜‹

VPK's Wacky Wednesday

Photos from Little Spuds Early Learning Center's post 03/04/2026

Our VPK friends have been busy little gardeners! โ˜˜๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ

Today we planted shamrocks in our leprechaun pots and learned that beans are actually seeds! We explored the life cycle of a seed: from seed, to sprout, to plant and talked about what plants need to grow (soil, water, sunlight, and lots of love!).

Each student will be growing their very own shamrocks and watching the magic happen right before their eyes. There is nothing sweeter than seeing their excitement as they check their pots each day for that very first sprout! ๐ŸŒฑ

Now the big question isโ€ฆ
Will our shamrocks lure a leprechaun to our school and make rainbows appear? ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

We canโ€™t wait to find out! Stay tuned for a little St. Patrickโ€™s Day magic! โ˜˜๏ธ
