For the safety of student pilots and their instructors, trainer planes undergo inspections and maintenance every 100 flight hours plus an annual inspection. There are a handful more that we remember by an acronym…(we love acronyms)
A - Airworthiness Directives
A- Annual
V- VOR (IFR only)
1 - 100 Hour (For Hire)
A - Altimeter/Pitot Static
T - Transponder
E - ELT
S - Safety Bulletins
Right now, the plane we will be using is undergoing both its annual and its 100 hour, so come August, we will be ready set to fly!✈️
And don’t worry! These inspections shouldn’t delay us as we do our training together as they are often scheduled and we have amazing mechanics we work with! But safety first 🫡

Meet your Certified Flight Instructor and owner of Perdido Key Flight School!

My name is Trayson Glenn! Born and raised in Plano, TX, I found my passion for aviation as a young boy hearing stories from my grandpa and more relatives about their time in the cockpit and soaring the skies. But, I didn’t find myself behind a yoke until I was 22 years old!

In the spring of 2022, as I neared the completion of my BBA degree at the University of Mississippi, I took my first discovery flight. I knew immediately that I would do whatever it took to be able to say “I fly planes for a living.”

Since then, I completed my Bachelor’s degree, moved to Pensacola to be close to family, got married, and will now be welcoming a baby boy to the world with my wife this Fall.

While I was able to accomplish a lot of life goals in a few short years, I was also able to earn my Private Pilot License, IFR rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, and most recently my CFI add on. Next steps would be my CFII and Multi-Engine rating.

Aviation isn’t always a career, but it’s most certainly a lifestyle that hooks you in.

Pulling knowledge and teaching styles from my 3 previous instructors (and my time as a professional esport coach), I feel confident I can help guide others with that same passion toward whatever goal in aviation they have for themselves.
