When it comes to Botox and Dysport, the conversation around “how much is injected” can be misleading.

Every neuromodulator is reconstituted with diluent, and the volume injected can affect diffusion. But when it comes to the actual treatment dose, what matters is how many units you’re receiving.

Dysport and Botox are measured differently, which is why you may need approximately 2 to 3 times as many Dysport units compared to Botox units to achieve a comparable effect. That does not mean you’re getting “more” product.

The vial size, the diluent, and the volume can all sound confusing, but the most important part of your treatment is understanding the dose and choosing the right neuromodulator for you.
