Did you know that April is limb loss awareness month? Here are some quick facts about amputations
— There is an estimated 2 million people living with amputations in the US alone!
— About 185k new amputations occur in the US each year!
— It is projected that by 2050 there will be 3.6 million amputees in the US!
— Lower limb amputations are the most common type in the US!
— In the western world, diabetes/vascular disease make up over 60% of the cause for amputation!!

Hey AMPED community! We are getting together again on Tuesday April 12th at 5 pm outside of the VA building. Our event will include a Tai Chi lesson from one of the very talented therapists from the VA, Julia. Feel free to come out and participate, observe, or just enjoy the Florida evening while meeting some new people!
We will meet at the front of the building. Benches are available if needed.
