🌟 PTSA Appreciation Post 🌟
Last week, our amazing PTSA truly went above and beyond to celebrate our faculty, staff, and administrators! 💙
From a wonderful breakfast on Monday, a baked potato bar on Tuesday, delicious Olive Garden on Wednesday, a nacho bar on Thursday, and Sonny’s Barbecue on Friday, they made the entire week feel so special!
Thank you, PTSA, for all that you do. You made our week unforgettable!
The countdown to summer is officially ON… but for our sophomores, it’s also the start of something BIG.
In just a few short weeks, our 10th grade students will be taking their next step in the Charter Academy program as they head to the college campus to begin full-time dual enrollment for their junior and senior years.
Our program is designed to give students the best of both worlds: earning their high school diploma while simultaneously completing their Associate’s Degree, setting them up for success before they even graduate high school.
This video, created by our talented Digital Information Technology (DIT) students, captures that moment perfectly. With a fun “breaking out” theme, our sophomores are symbolically unlocking the next chapter of their journey, ready to take on new challenges, new opportunities, and a college-level experience.
We are so proud of each and every one of them.

This year, we hosted our second annual prom at the Jean and Paul Amos WSRE Building, and what an amazing night it was! There was laughing, dancing, delicious food, great music, and so many meaningful moments of students connecting.
We want to give a HUGE thank you to our incredible PTSA, who, for the second year in a row, planned our entire prom. We are so grateful for their hard work in making this night truly special for our students. 💙✨

We are so proud to celebrate Junior students McKenna and Victoria, who have been selected to attend the UWF NeuroNauts Scholars Program this summer! 🧠🔬
This prestigious, paid, merit-based eight-week research program offers high school students from Escambia and Santa Rosa counties the opportunity to work full-time alongside UWF scientists in real neuroscience laboratories. Students explore how the brain works and investigate diseases like Alzheimer's through an incredible hands-on experience!
Out of applicants across both counties, McKenna and Victoria are two of only eight students selected. How amazing is that? 👏
McKenna shared:
"I applied because the program would supply me with neuroscience research and lab experience, which will help me gain experience in my chosen field and further my career."
Victoria shared:
"I'm excited to gain real experience in a lab setting and learn more about the research side of medicine. I plan to pursue a career in the medical field as an OB/GYN, so this opportunity is a strong step toward that goal."
We can't wait to see all they accomplish this summer!
