HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY TO OUR MAKO GRANDPARENTS! We love you and are so grateful for the example you have set and the legacy you are leaving to us!

HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY!

Grandchildren are such a blessing and to be a grandparent is, among many things, well - just FUN! However, God has not only given us rich blessings in those precious faces, He has given we grandparents a rich and serious charge - to leave a legacy for them in which to thrive.

Proverbs 13:22a states, "A good life gets passed on to the grandchildren;". It goes on to speak to an ill-gotten life as well. We should ALL wish to leave this world better for us being placed within it; especially should this be the desire we have for our grandchildren.

If you are blessed to have your grandparents still in your life, CALL THEM TODAY! A call from you is the brightest part of ANY day! If you are a parent that has grandparents that have spoken into your children's lives, thank them. Show them how much you appreciate their partnership in raising your children. Godly grandparents are a gift from God. Thank them for their strength, love, and for who they are to you.

Leaving a legacy and an inheritance is NOT speaking only about finances. We should allow our lives - the way we speak, treat others, and the example we set, be part of what our grandchildren will desire to emulate. Let us leave them an example that is worthy of the blessing they are to us. After all, that is why we call them "GRANDS"!

Today is the 25th anniversary of the horrendous attacks on us as Americans. As we honor those who were among those in the towers, Pentagon, WTC, and others, we also honor those who rushed to their aide, rescue, and recovery. We honor the memories of all who have given their lives as a result of this day in 2001. May we NEVER FORGET that Americans are BEST when we stand together.
