Marlee Carnevale
2026 Alabama Secondary Athletic Trainer of the Year

Marlee Carnevale enters her 11th year as an athletic trainer at Fairhope High School, where she is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to Fairhope Pirate student athletes. A native of Wellington, Florida, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Master of Science in Movement Sciences & Health from the University of West Florida.

In June, Marlee was honored as the 2026 Alabama Secondary Athletic Trainer of the Year, an achievement she describes as both incredibly meaningful and humbling. She believes athletic training is about more than treating injuries and that it is about building trust, supporting athletes through challenges and accomplishments, and ensuring every student athlete feels valued and cared for as an individual.

Marlee also serves as a clinical preceptor for graduate students pursuing athletic training, sharing her knowledge and passion while helping prepare the next generation of athletic trainers.

She is deeply grateful for the athletes, coaches, families, colleagues, mentors, administrators, and Fairhope community members who have shaped her career and continue to inspire her. Outside of athletic training, she enjoys traveling, the outdoors, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family, boyfriend, two cats, and beloved turtle, Turbo.
