The public forum for the review of the Penfield Central School District safety plan was July 14th, 2026. That means the plan should have been posted for review 30 days prior to that date, on June 14th, 2026.

Here we sit, almost 90 days past when the Safety Plan should have been posted, and it still has not.

Not only is this a perfect example of how messed up Dr. Potter's priorities are, it is also against the law. But as we have seen Dr. Potter thinks she's above the law.


SECTION 2801-A, School safety plans
Education (EDN) CHAPTER 16, TITLE 2, ARTICLE 55 states:

"Each board of education, chancellor or other governing body shall make each district-wide safety plan available for public comment at
least thirty days prior to its adoption. Such district-wide plans may be adopted by the school board only after at least one public hearing that provides for the participation of school personnel, parents, students and any other interested parties. Each district shall file a copy of its district-wide safety plan with the commissioner and all amendments to such plan shall be filed with the commissioner no later than thirty days after their adoption."

In addition to this, they have yet to answer a single question submitted.

Wonder if they are tied up trying to hide, or investigate the DASA filed against Ted. Maybe that's still not done because LaShara is way behind on hiring this year compared to previous years....even with the super secret help of Scott Hirschler.

Bare minimum....this is bare minimum stuff.

Not even 2 weeks in... the new athletici director already had official complaints.

Starting out strong. Let's see if he can find a way to not ruin our strength and conditioning program.

Anyone with a student athlete surely knows how critical Omari had been to getting out kids into the proper physical condition needed to not only play at a high level, but more importantly at their young age, minimize injuries.

Not looking good.

Fyi, the contracts were specifically written to give the Penfield Central School District all the latitude they needed to protect out athletes. Let's see if they can figure it out.

Update: Hearing AD Jeff is moving to keep Omari. Hoping this is a sign of good things to come.

Anyone brave enough to guess what wasn't included in the FOIL response concerning tenure?

Not a single shred of evidence that any person given tenure ever received a review. Granted, Dr. Potter tried to bend the law, or maybe just doesn't understand the law, to deny the request, but she will lose on appeal because the law is clear.

Reviews in their entirety, are not able to be obtained through FOIL. BUT, review dates and the information on the process is completely open for public review. That is why the request was written the way it was. The district consistently breaks this part of the law to hide information.

This is typical corrupt Penfield Central School District leadership, take over 3 months to provide nothing but a written list of recommendations, (which wad also appealed as the record is incomplete and doesn't show who it was sent to and when and appears AI generated) and illegally withhold the part that shows how unethical and corrupt your decisions are.

The "letter of recommendations for tenure" are shown below. If we are to believe it was sent to the BOE for review, it would have the proper information showing that. We'll see if they were actually written at the time of the vote as they claim, or if it's just another falsified document, like the time they sent Maycanitza Pérez's updated resume, claiming it was what she submitted when she applied for her position.

P.S. still no closure on the Ted DASA.

It was no secret that Dr. Potter was hiring inexperienced and incompetent people. But the decision she made with the approval of LaShara Evans to grant sweeping tenure to people who did not earn it and had not proven they were capable or deserved it was a slap in the face to not only the hard working Penfield Central School District who were left out of her unethical, corrupt and clearly favoritism based decision, but it was a slap in the face to EVERY professional who worked hard to actually earn their tenure.

Tenure was granted on May 26th, on May 29th we submitted a FOIL to be able to prove to the public what we already knew, Dr. Potter and LaShara evens broke the law and have no regard or respect for the role they serve and the professionalism it should entail.

Ignoring the obvious breaking of the law, we are over 3 months past the tenure approval and Penfield Central School District is unable to provide a shred of proof that any aspect of the law was followed or any crumb of proof they did any actual work to come to the decision to grant tenure. As a matter of fact, most of those granted tenure did not know they were getting it because Dr. Potter and crew literally decided day of that it was happening. Think about that, these are life changing decision for employees that carry enormous weight and consequences for our children's education for years, decades even to come, and Dr. Potter woke up and decided she didn't care about that, what she cared about was her cronyism and protecting herself by giving free passes and golden tickets to the people who didn't earn it.

For clarity, everything requested, should have been readily available as it is part of the process to obtain tenure. Ironically, NOT following this process was used to try to deny tenure to employees. Let that sink in, Penfield Central School District, did not follow the process to grant tenure, and then tried to deny tenure to employees, at no fault of the employee, because leadership didn't do their jobs. Imagine being denied a raise, because your boss didn't do your review. Insanity....

If your child experiences bullying or hazing on their sports teams, expect this response from the newly appointee Athletic Director.

Please note, this is a separate news article 2 years before he was fired for wrestling a female soccer player.

Please note, BOE President Mr. Moriarty says they do a thorough review and are not influenced by social media or outside information. Basically. Mr. Moriarty is saying, he and the BOE ignored the information that is publicly available because the Penfield Central School District didn't tell them about it. Imagine overtly admitting you buried your head in the sand and ignored accurate information because it came from an unconventional source.

Let's expand that statement. What Mr. Moriarty just said was, they do not care what the community says and will believe Dr. Potter's and District Offices version over any other. That's wild.

I was shared a story, and it had to do with handing out welcoming and inviting "blue cards" and avoiding discouraging and uninviting "orange cards". What Mr. Moriarty just did was hand out 1000's of orange cards to our teachers and community and 1 single blue card to a person who has a history of terrorizing school sports programs and making incredibly bad decisions.

Imagine how bad the bullying was to make this sort of stance. Imagine how desperate this parent must have felt to make this stance. Now, imagine how that child must have felt. And finally, imagine this was your child, because based on all evidence, it could be at some point.

"On Thursday, well before the game was to begin, Steve Toth, the boy’s father spoke to the coach about how the situation was being handled. He was told that there was not enough evidence to prove one of the players on the team was responsible and they all needed to move on."

We are choosing not to move on.

This is the level of self-control, professionalism and judgement our BOE is trusting to make sound judgements in the people they recommend to hire....

The white background is her private messaging community members on Facebook because of their comments, DURING business hours, while she is at "work". Apparently, LaShara Evans, much like Dr. Potter, thinks that because they hire you to do a job, you are not allowed to criticize them and they are owed your undying loyalty.

The second one with the black background is her commenting on the page of the Democrat and Chronicle. Basically, she thinks we are all racist and it had nothing to do with her work. That comment is particularly funny as it aged very well. The part where no white person gets the same level of scrutiny. Wellllll....how's that terrible hire Jeff Alger feeling about the scrutiny?

GREAT JOB BOE!!!! This person is clearly making, sound, rational, professional judgments. She can't even control herself....but keep rubber stamping this district into the ground because you are too lazy and cowardly to stand up for the community and Penfield Central School District.

NOTE: The new BOE members that were voted in, the ones who actually represent the change the community wants and voted for in a landslide voted AGAINST hiring an AD who has failed miserably in every possible way at every pervious position.

For those not buried in the details. Scott Hirschler requested a leave.

When he went on leave, Sheonaid Vanderzwan was put into that role as interim.

Issue being, Scott never really left. In fact, he continued to work from his new closet office to try to bring Sheonaid up to speed.

Ironically, Scott Hirschler is now...semi-retired.

Semi-retired? What does that mean? Well good thing you asked the questions that the BOE doesn't!!!

Scott Hirschler is now "rehired" as a "substitute administrator". What that really means is, Scott was given a sweetheart deal and a sweetheart position in Penfield Central School District Office to help the incapable LaShara Evans do her job. He's actually working in HR at DO.

FACTS....something the BOE doesn't seem to care about.

The DASA investigation in Security Director Ted Wilson is still open.

Here we were thinking Aidan Elliot's message was pretty cut and dry.

But, this BOE still thinks the investigation into the harassment MaryBeth Walker endured is still open.

Nope, they definitely aren't in over their heads. Nope, they are definitely paying attention.
