Where does the cost of childcare actually go?
At Little Sprouts, the answer starts with people.
Last year, approximately 85% of our expenses were wages and employee benefits. Providing quality childcare requires enough trained staff to safely care for children throughout our 12-hour day - and investing in those employees means offering competitive wages, benefits and opportunities for continued training.
And staffing is only part of the equation. Little Sprouts also has expenses for meals, our facility, utilities, insurance, supplies, cleaning, training, licensing and more.
When it comes to quality childcare, the biggest investment we make is in the people caring for our littlest community members.
